On Thursday 6th June there was a lunchtime carnival and we were expected to take our buddies around and do whatever they wanted. So the first thing my buddy wanted to do was the treasure hunt. So what we had to do was go around and find laminated sheets of book covers and right down where we saw it and do it in record timing. So my buddy was running everywhere and l couldn’t keep up with him.
Though he was very good at it. Unfortunately Me, Max and my buddy Josh didn’t win. Although we did come 3rd. Then we all got a badge from the library. Then my Buddy and l kicked the footy to each other. Then like 5 minutes later we lost Max. And he’s in the same year as me. So me and Josh looked for Max for around 5 minutes and then Josh asked me if we could go to the library and colour in. So that’s were we went. So for the last ten minutes me and Josh did I some calming colouring.
On Wednesday the 5th of June Mark Wilson came to speak to us about his books and why he writes them.
2 things l learnt from Mark Wilson was their is these animals called snow leopards. Everyone hunts them down and tries to kill them because their fur is really nice and worth a lot of money. So Snow Leopards are nearly extinct. There is only a few left in the wild.
Another thing Mark Wilson told us was there was around 15 thousand animals that went to war and guess happened to all of them… they had to be killed.
But there was one dog who was named driver. He has that name because he was always in the tank when the soldiers were driving. The dog had great hearing and he could hear enemies from 1km away.
So they soldiers knew they had get the hell out of where ever they were. By the end of the war driver was still alive. The soldiers knew if the head of the army saw he would instantly kill driver. So on there way back to Australia on the Ship, they taught driver to not move in a back pack. So when they eventually came of the ship they would poke every 3rd persons back back to see if they had this dog. And when it came towards the end they poked the soldier with driver in his backpack and he didn’t move.
Eventually driver went on to live in the blue mountains and have a great life their.
